Church Planting Residency

This page is certainly dated, but I’m leaving it up in case anyone might be interested. Enjoy!

I’m Micah Lewis.  I am married to my wonderful wife, Amy.  We have two fantastic children, Nathan and Alli.  From 2004 to 2008 God called us to plant a church in Grand Prairie, TX.  We began the Sunrise Church of Christ which was a great blessing from God.  After five years, God led us to bring that season to a end and close the church.  We are now imagining and experiencing a new daybreak in our lives and look forward to seeing the new things God has in store for us.

We are currently in the midst of a season we are calling a “church planting residency.”  We have joined a network of house churches in uptown/downtown Dallas called Storyline Christian Community that started in early 2008.  We have committed to being part of Storyline through August of 2010.  Our goals for this residency are to serve the ministry of Storyline, continue to develop church planting disciplines, and discern our next steps in church planting.  Check our this video if you would like to know more.

You are also welcome to look over this document that explains in more detail what this residency is about, our fundraising plan, and how you can contact me if you still want to know more.  Church Planting Residency – pdf
